Zoo picture July 2010

I took Emilee, Drew & Taylor to the Nashville Zoo a few weeks ago. We had a good time even though it was hot as Hades and then about the time we were finishing up, it started raining. So we got wet. The rain actually cooled us off, but it also made us stink!
Here are a few pictures I got. Some were really good ... some okay and some really funny!

They were wet and hot and tired .. but this is one of my all time favorites of these two!

Okay, funny story here. We stopped at this on the way in. Then on the way out they all wanted to get in the observation hole. I noticed them looking down and see the next picture .....

This little head popped up in front of them. It was too cute. Her mom was telling her to get back and wait her turn, but they big kids were fine with it!

They had a good time! Afterwards, the boys came to the house and we grilled chicken. It was a fun day. I recommend a trip to the Nashville Zoo anytime, but probably when it's not so hot!

Lake 2010 - Em's first time

Emilee went to the Lake with Beth and her family right after 4th of July. She's never been on a boat or lake. They took Ryan, Emilee, Taylor, Drew and Erica & Cami met them. They packed a lunch, soaked everyone down in sunscreen and hit Old Hickory Lake. They had a beautiful day and I'm very envious that they got to have so much fun. Beth did a GREAT job at taking lots and lots of pictures for me. I already have them in my winkflash account ready to be developed! The tubing was fun, but a bit awkward for Emilee and Taylor .... actually anyone riding with Em. She is a girl after all! And since she doesn't weigh much, she was always on the bottom. But they had fun and I'm glad she was brave enough to try by herself. Way to go girl!

Okay, so I'm the only one that loves this picture of them, but it's one of my favorites.

Everyone loves pictures ... I know I do. These are from Friday, July 2. We had a great time at Beth's house. At least the kids did. AND, Emilee met someone special. His name is Taylor. Can you see the pattern in these pix! He's a cutie and a real sweet heart!



The other guys are Drew (Beth's son) and Gonzalo ... another of Drew's friends. Drew, Taylor and Gonzalo have been friends for a long time.

That was Friday. Saturday we spent the day at friends house for the traditional 4 of July party. It was low key, but tiring all the same. Sunday, we missed church because we all slept till 9:30 and later. I went down moms around 12:00. Steve and Emilee came later. She didn't want to swim, she'd be swimming for 2 days straight. Then Monday we went to the Mall (meet Taylor) to get stuff for Cheer Camp next week. Then we went to see Eclipse! It was good! Can't wait for the last one. I think I'm going to buy them all on DVD when they all come out.

So, we had a good holiday. A little busy, but nothing major. Work is ok. A little slow, but picking up. A lot of people are on vacation still and conferences are in full swing, so it takes a lot of people out of the office.

We are suppose to go to KY this weekend to check out the leases.... of course Taylor has been invited and will probably go. We hope we can take the 4-Wheelers, but that all depends on Steve getting the trailer/lights fixed on his truck.

2 months later .... sorry!

It's been 2 months since my last update. I figure only a hand full read anyways. Nothing real exciting is happening.

* Steve has to have another surgery on his left shoulder.
* Vacation to Panama City Beach was great!!!
* I have a teenager in the house ... a teenage girl. We have boy stuff going full force. Yes at 13. They start everything earlier and earlier!!
* Still working - I like my job, just not getting up early!
* Emilee is still cheering
* I'm still losing weight. 29.6 lbs so far! YEA!!!! Almost 30lbs. This week's weigh in might be a gain week, but it's been a good week and I lost on vacation - so I can't complain too much about a gain!
* Life is good.

21.2 lbs gone

It's gone ... over 20 lbs. Just think about much that is! Like 4 bags of sugar! Or almost as much as my turkey weighed! I can tell to. My kness don't hurt as much and I have a little more engery(although not much). But the best part is that I feel more confident! AND I have some clothes that are fitting MUCH better!

Okay ... here's the goal. I hope to hit this by August.... another 20 lbs. Actually less than that. 18 lbs! It's taken me since Jan 27 to lose this first 20 (with 2 weeks of totally not trying when I broke my wrist), so I think by August I should be okay to lose 18 more lbs. And then 6 weeks of maintance. After that, Lifetime WW member! I never want to be fat again!!!!!

Em's Date to Banquet

Emilee's date to banquet - Adam. He's a good kid. Very quiet, especially around us, but I'm sure around Emilee he's alittle more vocal (at least I hope so). He's seems really sweet and I probably could say a lot more on him, but won't. I like him .... does that say enough?

Adam and his family live in Goodlettsville. We met them at Goodlettsville City Hall, which a lot more folks from GCS (which we didn't know at the time). We took some pictures and then left for the banquet at school. We should have let Em and Adam ride together, but for some reason, I didn't think about that till afterwards!
